The year 2005 marks two important milestones.
First, SIngapore will be celebrating its 40th year of independence.Second, Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf) will be marking the 50th anniversary as well. In celebration of these two special occasions, you are invited to come together with some of the Deaf for a special project, which hopefully can be recorded in the Guinness Worlds Records. During the National Day Parade 2005, you will be part of the congregation to sign the national pledge and also another song at Marina South on 9 Aug 2005.
But before you can do that, you will be given a 2-session training session on basic Deaf Awareness and the sign language.
The training sessions will be held in NYP in mid-June and transport will be provided to Marina South on 9 Aug 05.
You get to learn the sign language and you can also clock this in as part of your Community Service requirement for your NYAA. Interested ?
