There will be a Mt Ophir Expedition organised by the NYAA Students' Club and Adventure Club. Mt Ophir, also known as Gunung Ledang, is located at the border of Johor and Malacca. Rising to a height of 1,276m, it is the highest mountain in the state of Johor. Details as follows :
Day / Date : Mon 12 Jun - Thurs 15 June 06
Draft programme: Day / Date Programme
Day 1
Mon 12 Jun Arrive in NYP and will go through the basic outdoor survival skills and low/high elements training. Spend the night in NYP.
Day 2 - Day 3
Tues 13 Jun - Wed 14 Jun
Leave in the morning of Tues 13 Jun for Mt Ophir and start the climb to the summit.
Day 4
Thurs 15 Jun
Descent and and return to NYP. Reach NYP at approximately 6pm.
Cost : Approximately $60 (Includes food, insurance, accomodation, necessary permits, camping equipments) You may use your Edusave. Call 62600777 to check your Edusave balance.
This is especially important to students who are short of an expedition to qualify for the award ceremony this year and 3rd year students.
