The next Outward Bound Sabah - Adventure Challenge Course, will be held from 4 - 15 Sept 06.
The course activities will be conducted in the midst of the Borneo jungles, sea frontages and the rivers of Sabah. At the end of the course, participants will learn the importance of taking responsibility for their actions, develop care and concern for others, a greater sense of self-confidence to deal with challenges and the unknown and the importance of working as a team.
This course is specially for "students who want to develop their leadership skills and character to complement their academic achievements for a more well-rounded education."
You should meet the following criteria :
1. be between 16 to 20 years;
2. either year 1 or 2 students;
3. be medically fit (upon selection, participants must undergo compulsory medical check-up);
4. be willing to sign up as an NYAA Gold participant (if not already one). This course can be counted as one of the requirements;
5. to attend an interview and selection session to ascertain suitability;
6. if selected, pay $180 towards the full course (the remaining $870 is subsidised by NYP).
