Hi NYAA members,Here comes a new community service event ! We will be working with BBprimers for this event called BBSG @ NYP !
What is BBSG?
BBSG@NYP 2012 stands for The Boys' Brigade Share-a-Gift @ Nanyang Polytechnic is part of a bigger donation drive, which The Boys' Brigade has been doing for 24 years. The donated items that are collected will reach out to some 6,500 households who are receiving assistance from Government-funded ComCare programmes and from 173 Voluntary Welfare Organisations. This year we aim to hit a target of 200 food hampers which are worth $12,000 in food items this year. These food items will benefit 100 households under the Public Assistance Scheme and TOUCH Cancer Support Clients. 2 food hampers will be able to feed a family of 4 for up to a month.
What is in a Food Hamper:
- 5kg of rice
- 5 cans of foods (halal)
- 10 packs of instant noodles
- 1 litre of oil
- 1 seasoning
- 1.2 kg/ 25 packs of 3-in-1 milo
- 1 pack of 25 sachets of coffee/tea
- 1 tin of biscuits
How you can be involved:
1. Be a Collection helper
