The
NYAA Young Photographers' Network (YPN) was launched in 2003 at the
MITA by then Minister of State for National Development, Dr Vivian
Balakrishnan, to promote photography among the young people in
Singapore.
Since the launch, more than 3000 young photographers have gone through various photography conferences, workshops and projects. Many young photographers have contributed significantly through their lenses to raise the level of awareness in the areas of social services related subjects, environmental sustainability, sports, heritage, travel, portraits and community bonding activities.
Many young photographers groomed and nurtured through the YPN's platform have excelled in photography and have contributed significantly to our community, both in Singapore and overseas. Many of them have won both national and international recognition for their work. Their works have also been published by various publishers both in Singapore and overseas.
This year, the NYAA YPN will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary on

Mr Kwek Leng Joo, Managing Director, City Developments Limited, and Patron of the NYAA Young Photographers' Network, who is an avid photographer and a prominent businessman, will share with young photographers at the event on his interest and how he uses photography in the development of the next generation of photographers.
